It's fair to say that Spurs defender Danny Rose will be feeling ambivalent about England's friendly against Turkey on Sunday.

On the one hand, he played a significant role in England's 2-1 role and his efforts during the match earned him the Man of the Match award. The other side of that story is that thanks to the power of the internet, the world is convinced that he soiled his shorts during the match. https://twitter.com/DailyCannon/status/734444035268567040 Well, the news of Rose's unfortunate follow-through against Turkey must have been music to Gary Lineker's ears. Lineker has his own history of sullying the beautiful game by desecrating his shorts during a match. He has admitted that he defecated in his shorts while playing for England in the 1990 World Cup. The incident has become such a running joke on the internet that whenever Lineker sends a Tweet, he gets an endless slew of unimaginative, hackneyed responses saying "shat on (insert topic of original tweet here). Well, thanks to Rose, Lineker got to see what life was like on the other side for once. https://twitter.com/GaryLineker/status/734441177722806272
