Conor McGregor has already said he wants to be a three-weight world champion.
The Irishman's coach John Kavanagh told the world that McGregor is eyeing up Robbie Lawler's welterweight belt.
But there are more and more noises suggesting that if the 27-year-old beats lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos on March 5 then a welterweight superfight could actually happen.
Leading MMA journalist Jeremy Botter posited the theory that McGregor vs Lawler could even take place at UFC 200.

It might not be that crazy after all. Kavanagh claims McGregor is comfortable against welterweights like sparring partner Gunnar Nelson, the Notorious walks around at about 180lbs and he's sure as hell crazy enough to take the fight.

A fight with Ruthless would bring in insane PPV numbers and with McGregor's growing sway within the UFC, Dana White would find it hard not to give the Irishman a shot.
The welterweight champion spoke earlier this year about a possible match-up with the featherweight king.
It's certainly a fight UFC fans would want. Lawler is one of the most brutal fighters in the organisation and with McGregor's unique brand of braggadocio and his knock-out power, it would be incredible to watch.
