Commentator gets sent off for criticising referee (Video)

We had no idea this could even happen, to be honest.
During a game in the Liga de Ascenso Group B game between Coto Brus and Barrio México in Costa Rica last month, the commentator had some choice words to say about the referee. In particular, he described the ref's performance as terrible. While that sort of thing happens all the time, the referee apparently took some offence to this after he was informed of the incident by his linesman. Rather than take the criticism on the chin and try to do better in the future, the ref instead decided to give the commentator a red card for his behaviour and refused to allow the game to continue until the he left the stadium. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvnGEHks3tMExplore more on these topics:
