Boris Johnson didn't rule one out when England men reached the final last year
There have been renewed calls for an extra Bank Holiday after the Lionesses
won the EURO 2022 competition.
Sarina Wiegman's side made history at Wembley after defeating Germany 2-1 in the final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday night.
England took a 1-0 lead over Germany thanks to a second-half strike from substitute Ella Toone, who calmly chipped the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute.
Substitute Chloe Kelly then sealed the victory via a 111th-minute goal, stabbing in from close range to bring the trophy home.

Before the game, Sir Keir Starmer proposed a "proper day of celebration" in England if the Lionesses manage to overcome Germany.
Conservative former sports minister Tracey Crouch and Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey also told the
Mirror they backed the idea.
The government ruled out granting the country an additional day off, saying it would celebrate the team's success but that the cost of a bank holiday is "considerable".
When the men's team reached the final last year, Boris Johnson did not rule out similar moves, but said that announcing a holiday would be "tempting fate".
There have been renewed calls for a holiday on social media, with Adam Payne saying: "Right so where's the bank holiday".

'Geli' was similarly forthright with her demands, and even TV channel Dave got in on the action:
