Very smart. Very smart indeed.

What do you do if the love of your life just so happens to be the daughter of a staunch rival fan? How exactly do you bridge that huge divide caused by the fundamentally tribal nature of football? Of course you can wed regardless and think to hell with the consequences, but that can make family get togethers very awkward indeed, never mind the small matter of your actual wedding day. Well Adam Tanous came up with an ingenuous and failsafe solution. As Chelsea fan, he wanted to get into the good books of his father-in-law Hughie, who supports fierce London rivals, the Arsenal. So, with a little help from Citroen, an official partner of the Gunners, he managed to rope in Arsenal stars Olivier Giroud, Per Mertesacker, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joel Campbell to convince him. As Giroud explains to the camera:
"Hi Hughie, I know he might be a Chelsea fan, but I assure you your daughter is in safe hands with Adam! I hope you all enjoy the rest of the day!"
