A man in his thirties has been arrested after he apparently tried to punch Kayla, a bald eagle who serves as the mascot for Crystal Palace.

The incident allegedly happened during Palace's local derby against Charlton Athletic in the Capital One Cup on September 23, according to the Croydon Advertiser. The 34-year-old man has been arrested for 'suspicion of violent disorder and attempted criminal damage' and remains in custody in a south London police station.
