When you hear the phrase ‘Live Action Super Mario Bros.’, you probably think of this:

Which is not really a classic, and seems to have been enough to scare Nintendo off movies for the last few decades.

However, a much more faithful live-action made an appearance this week. Universal Studios Japan is currently building a Nintendo-themed land. At the groundbreaking cerimony, a stage was erected, for various acts and speakers to appear, including Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto . And opening the show, was this great little skit.

Here’s a longer video where you can see he makes a few little missteps - but that kind of just makes it more adorable.
