One man has lost his life while two others are seriously injured after a gun attack at a boxing weigh-in in Dublin this afternoon.
Three men stormed into the Regency Hotel, Whitehall, Dublin wearing "police-style" uniforms armed with what witnesses claimed looked like AK47s, the Irish Independent reports.
The gang fired a number shots, causing dozens of people to flee the hotel. The Regency was hosting an official weigh-in for 'Clash of the Clans' boxing event, which was set to feature Jamie Kavanagh versus Joao Bento for the vacant WBO European Lightweight Title.
Emergency services discovered three men, who were in their 20s or 30s, injured at the scene. One was subsequently pronounced dead. The other two were taken to The Mater and Beaumont Hospitals with possible gunshot wounds.
