Hundreds of people had to evacuate.

Two men were stabbed and hundreds of people were forced to evacuate a Birmingham music event on Saturday night.

West Midlands Police were called to Luna Springs on Lower Trinity Street in Digbeth at approximately 7pm following reports of a double stabbing at the Cru2 event.

Both victims were taken to hospital, with their injuries described as not believed to be life-threatening.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called to Lower Trinity Street, shortly before 7pm last night to reports two men had been stabbed and taken to hospital.

"Officers remain in the area and at the scene while an investigation takes place to understand exactly what happened and find those responsible."

Attendees were told to leave the outdoor venue as the incident unfolded, with a message appearing on the screen behind the DJ booth initially reading: "There has been an incident. Can everyone please bare with us."

That message was later updated to instruct everyone to leave via the nearest exit.

No arrests have been made at this stage and detectives are continuing their enquiries.
