Disruption is expected all day.

A train has crashed into a tractor and trailer on a level crossing in the UK.

The train was not derailed but a number of passengers on board the train are believed to have suffered minor injuries, reports BBC News.

British Transport Police said that six of the 56 passengers on board are being assessed by medics however none of those are believed to be serious.

Ambulance crews were called to the incident at Nordan Farm, Leominster, just after 10.45am.

An air ambulance was deployed along with land ambulances and paramedics.

The train left Manchester Piccadilly at 8.30am and struck the vehicle between Ludlow and Leominster.

National Rail have since said that all lines have been blocked between Hereford and Craven Arms.

Services between those stations will be changed or cancelled and disruption is expected until the end of the day.
