Susanna Reid hits back after being described as a ‘remain voting little rich girl’

Homenews

By now, most of us have seen Nigel Farage's appearance on Good Morning Britain.

Hours after it became clear that the majority of voters had decided it was best for Britain to leave the EU, the UKIP leader told the show's presenters, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, that it was a mistake for the Leave campaign to have claimed that they would divert the millions given to the EU every week to the NHS, as they couldn't guarantee it. https://twitter.com/GMB/status/746218028195426305 On Saturday morning, Reid mentioned her interview with Farage in a tweet, also referencing MEP Daniel Hannan's comments on immigration made on BBC Newsnight, https://twitter.com/BBCNewsnight/status/746466834610692096 https://twitter.com/susannareid100/status/746630796136579072 As you might expect given the difference in opinion surrounding the matter, Reid quickly received plenty of tweets on the matter, one of which labelled her a 'remain voting little rich girl'. https://twitter.com/alzy82/status/746639219188174848 Reid responded, following this with another tweet reminding people that journalists have the right to challenge politicians in the same way that voters are entitled to demand facts. https://twitter.com/susannareid100/status/746640359103541248 https://twitter.com/susannareid100/status/746652511281487872 Reid was praised for challanging Farage during the Friday morning interview.
