Video shows chilling moment killer buys rolling pin to murder Sabina
A man has been jailed for 36 years for the murder of primary school teacher Sabina Nessa.
Koci Selamaj killed the 28-year-old in a park in Kidbrooke, south-east London in September 2021.
The 36-year-old was jailed on Friday after Nessa's family on Thursday branded him a "coward" after he refused to come to court.
CCTV footage captured Selamak striking Nessa over the head until she was unconscious, before carrying her away and strangling her. He then removed her clothes and tried to hide her body.
Nessa took a shortcut through the park where her murderer attacked and killed her because she was running late a court was told.
She normally avoided walking through Cator Park in South East London at night but was rushing to meet a friend at Depot bar on September 17.
Selamaj, an Albanian national from Eastbourne, was said to have laid in wait at the park for 25 minutes before he attacked Nessa whose body was found by a dog walker 24 hours later.
Selamaj was arrested on September 26 after being recognised on CCTV.
