Putin's mouthpiece is at it again

As punishment for support to Ukraine, a leading Russian politician and close ally of President Vladimir Putin has asked for strikes on the home addresses of Western politicians.

Dmitry Rogozin, former Russian Deputy PM and space agency chief, has deemed the Western leaders “war criminals”, as he is demanding strikes on their homes.

Earlier this week, Russia listed targets in Britain and others locations across Europe.

The list that was released this week identified addresses in London, Reading, Leicester and Suffolk for strikes, as they were allegedly supplying weapons to Ukraine.

However, this list was insufficient, according to Rogozin.

“I don't want to seem like Captain Obvious to anyone but I believe the list is not complete”, he said.

“It should start with the work and home addresses of all Western politicians who made the decision to shed Russian blood. They are the main military targets, war criminals subject to annihilation”, he added.

Kremlin has repeatedly accused the UK of supplying missiles or drones to Ukraine, which are used to hit its territory.

Rogozin, now a senator for an illegally occupied territory in Ukraine and a commander of a drone unit fighting for Russia, previously also appeared to call for the assassination of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He added that Russia should take Israel as an example of taking out the leaders of the enemy, adding that “it’s embarrassing to admit”.

“I recognise Israel's tactic of destroying the political and military leadership of the enemy state as unavoidable. We need to start with this”, Rogozin said.

“If you cut off a rooster's head, it will run around chaotically for a short while, spreading terror throughout the henhouse. The others will grumble, worry for a while, and then start laying eggs again, waiting for us to present them with a new rooster.”

While he did not name the Western leaders he wanted to strike, he claimed that Ukraine “has unlimited technological and political support” from states including Britain.

“It also has essentially unlimited financial assistance from EU countries and other donors. The US are unconditional allies of Zelensky, despite the clumsy show put on by Trump and his administration”, he said.

“The list published by our Ministry of Defence is just the visible part of the iceberg of technological and financial support for Russia's bitter enemies” he added.

In December of last year, Rogozin, who is also a former Russian envoy to Nato, shared an alarming map of what sites Russia would like to target first in the UK.

He also threatened that Russia would bring about “the end of the world” if Donald Trump followed through on promise to take Greenland, as he called the American leader an eccentric.
