Netflix’s Jeffrey Dahmer made up one key detail which changes everything

It's all to do with his neighbour

Netflix's new show on Jeffrey Dahmer has been terrifying viewers since its release - but one key detail from the real life story will change how people watch it going forward. One of Dahmer's neighbours called Glenda Cleveland, played by Niecy Nash, became suspicious of his behaviour and tried to get police involved. But Cleveland's concerns were not listened to, and Dahmer continued to literally get away with murder for years. Netflix portray this aspect of the story as if Cleveland lived next door to Dahmer, but this is apparently far from the case. Cleveland died back in 2010, but her daughter told the publication that her mother had lived down the road from Dahmer. While Netflix's representation here may be slightly different to reality, the story of Konerak Sinthasomphone's horrific death is unfortunately accurate. Cleveland called the police after her daughter noticed 14-year-old Sinthasomphone coming out of Dahmer's apartment block, naked and covered in blood. By the time police arrived, Dahmer had managed to return, and told officers that the teenager was his adult lover. Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is available to stream on Netflix now.
