While 19-year-old Anthony Martial is settling in nicely to Premier League life, 17-year-old Regan Poole must settle for friendlies and training with the United academy.

On the same day that United completed the £36m transfer of Martial, from Monaco, they signed up a defensive prospect from Newport County for a fee that, should he make a senior appearance, rise to £400,000. United signed Poole - a centre back who played 15 times for Newport last season - as one for the future, following glowing reports from their scouts. However, the Wales U19 international has yet to be given international clearance from Fifa.
