Moss may not have testified if it weren't for Heard
Kate Moss will testify in the million-dollar defamation case between ex-couple Johnny Depp and Amber Heard later this week and speak on one incident that saw Depp allegedly save her from falling down a flight of stairs.
Supermodel legend Moss, 48, is due to take the stand on Wednesday via video call, where she will testify about her four-year relationship with Depp, 58, back in the '90s.
Sources told the New York Post, which originally broke the story about her involvement in the case, that Moss will speak on "walking down some stairs in Jamaica."
"She was wearing flip flips and she slipped on the last two stairs. Johnny caught her and tended to her," the source claimed. "Kate has nothing to gain in giving testimony, but she feels strongly about defending her friend."
Usually, unrelated and alleged misconduct can not be used by lawyers as evidence. However, on May 5, Heard mentioned Moss' name while discussing an incident also involving stairs and her sister Whitney.
"[Whitney's] back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her," Heard claimed. "I don't hesitate, I don't wait — I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs."
Rumours of Depp allegedly pushing Moss down the stairs have never been confirmed by any involved party, nor have any direct accusations emerged.

Legal experts suggest that Depp's legal team could have been looking for a way in to address the Moss allegations.
"That's one mistake that [Heard] made, was bringing up Kate Moss, which potentially opened the door to [Depp's team] bringing [Moss] on as an impeachment witness — and Moss "saying 'This never happened'," said entertainment lawyer Mitra Ahouraian.
This comes after Heard's legal team confirmed they would not be bringing Depp back to the stand despite previous reports.

In a statement to reporters, Heard's attorney said: "Calling Depp back to the stand would be as relevant to us as a bicycle to a fish. Everything Depp has testified up to this point has been irrelevant to the heart of this case, and there's no reason to believe it would be any different now."
