Danny Go! star Daniel Coleman has shared the heartbreaking news that his 14-year-old son, Isaac, has passed away following a battle with an aggressive form of cancer.
Daniel Coleman announced on Thursday (May 21) that his son had passed away, months after being diagnosed with stage 3 mouth cancer in December 2025. The news comes just weeks after he shared that Isaac had been moved into hospice care.
Coleman, a father of two, took to Instagram yesterday (May 22) to share the tragic update alongside a photograph of Isaac and a black-and-white picture of the pair together.
"Isaac Daniel Coleman. 10/3/11-5/21/26," he began.
"Oh, my sweet boy. There's so much I want to say, but I don't know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process. But looking through thousands of pictures and videos this past week, I'm also filled with tremendous pride.
"Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit...and you somehow kept your trademark joy despite it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac!" he continued.
"Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honour of a lifetime. I'm so proud of you, and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son." Coleman initially revealed his son's cancer diagnosis in December 2025, acknowledging that due to his rare inherited condition, Fanconi anaemia, they had anticipated this outcome.
"We found out last week that Isaac has cancer in his mouth. TBD, we always knew this day was coming, as it's a near certainty w/ Fanconi anaemia," he wrote at the time.
"But it's definitely hitting a little earlier than we hoped and is still just such a shocking thing to hear about your child, even if you've braced for it for years. Been getting lots of scans and we're not sure yet how much it's spread," he continued at the time. "But for now, the plan is to try and remove the cancer surgically asap."
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Fanconi anaemia is an uncommon disorder affecting bone marrow and various bodily systems. People suffering from the disease can face heightened risks of blood disorders and certain cancers, while it can also trigger physical abnormalities impacting organs and appearance.
After cancelling his 2026 tour to be by his son’s side, Coleman shared a further update in April, revealing that Isaac had been moved into hospice care.
"Haven't updates on Isaac's cancer in a bit, and it's still difficult for me to process and talk about," he wrote at the time.
"But the high-level update is that his cancer has continued to spread aggressively, and his energy levels have dropped very low." He also revealed that following a "short palliative radiation round" aimed at slowing the growth of a sizeable mass beneath his right eye, the family had ultimately moved towards a "comfort-focused approach."
Coleman and his wife Mindy, are also parents to a younger son, Levi, born in 2015.
