A former Britain's Got Talent finalist has been cleared after being accused of raping two women.

The contestant, Andrew Johnston, faced charges of raping and sexually assaulting one woman and raping another, but has since been cleared.

The BBC report that the alleged offences took place a number of years after he appeared on Britain's Got Talent.

The former choirboy was 13 when he came third on the second series of the talent show back in 2008.

He went onto receive a £1million record deal with Simon Cowell's record label.

His album 'One Voice' made it to number five in the charts.
