Alastair Stewart found more than just his notes on his desk during Wednesday lunchtime's ITV News.

The newsreader was in conversation with Lucy Wronka and her young son George about milk allergies during the 1pm update. George's younger sister Iris, however, stole the show, climbing on Stewart's desk. As can be seen in the video below, the newsreader handles the situation extremely well, although was unable to hide his laughter as he attempted to give a brief update on Wayne Rooney's international retirement as the toddler crawls into shot. "That's it for this lunchtime. Mary Nightingale I think will have a more peaceful time at 6.30," he signs off.     https://twitter.com/itvnews/status/900355310568787969
