With Christmas rapidly becoming a distant memory, many of us need something to lift the January gloom.

Given the size of this week's jackpot, a lottery win would be the perfect tonic. Nobody matched the six main numbers in last Saturday's National Lottery - the seventh week on the trot that this has happened. If that is the case, the money will be divided amongst those players that have matched five of the numbers and the bonus ball.
