‘Time flies when you’re having fun’, they say – so this will seem like the longest 5 minutes of your life.

It’s David McIntosh’s latest MINUS 5 circuit which he has created for JOE to burn fat, work your muscles and generally inflict pain on you for 300 torturous seconds. The former Royal Marine has already given us two punishing workouts to train your upper body and your legs. But this time it’s all about the abs. If you’re on holiday, jetting out to Ibiza or just happen to have a swimming pool lying around at home and you want to stay in shape, then you’re in luck. McIntosh, who was Tornado on TV show Gladiators, has created this non-stop circuit - mixing swim sprints, sit-up variations and abs work. Go high-intensity and hard as you can on the 30-seconds swim and then push out as many reps as you can in 30 seconds on the abs exercises. If you're a proper nutter you can try doing several 5-minute sets. https://youtu.be/GusOFnYu_T8
