Alan Partridge is returning to our screens this month, judging from this short snippet from the forthcoming new series of Mid Morning Matters on Sky Atlantic, he's on top form.
Like a pair of your favourite nylon slacks, Partridge is cool, snug and perfectly fitting - with a magical little frisson of static electricity.
The short clip shows Alan chatting to Sidekick Steve about their new radio boss. He starts off talking about fizzy pop, and the fizzy metaphor just gets extended further and further as the veteran DJ piles on the praise.
"I've got to give a big shout out to our new MD, Craig Felbridge, who this morning was absolutley fizzing with ideas! He was like a one man SodaStream," exclaims Partridge.
"[He's] 20% Steve Jobs, 10% Jesus, 50% Peter Sissons, a splash of Gandhi - no need to measure that...it's not my opinion - that's fractions."
