This is going to be so good.

Given the multitude of heroes, villains and Infinity Stones that we've already seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you might be excused for thinking that there aren't too many surprises left. Well, brace yourself because Marvel is about to unleash their ultimate hidden weapon and it's in the form of a director that hails from Wellington, New Zealand. In my own humble opinion, very few filmmakers are in such a rich vein of form quite like Taika Waititi. In case you need reminding, he's the comic genius that directed the likes of Hunt for the Wilderpeople (our favourite film of 2016), the superb What We Do In the Shadows, Eagle vs Shark and various episodes of The Inbetweeners and Flight of the Conchords. We were absolutely delighted to see that Marvel announced him as the man responsible for making Thor: Ragnarok and after seeing the first trailer, we knew that the third Thor film had the potential to be the best one yet. Well, the first reactions to the film are in on social media, and they're universally glowing. https://twitter.com/eeisenberg/status/917245742640619520 https://twitter.com/slashfilm/status/917246848733036544 https://twitter.com/JennaBusch/status/917246787684933634 https://twitter.com/colliderfrosty/status/917245843144556544 https://twitter.com/GermainLussier/status/917245834424598530 https://twitter.com/elmayimbe/status/917245743261540352 https://twitter.com/ConnerWS/status/917245743609638912 https://twitter.com/BlogXilla/status/917250702459625472 https://twitter.com/HaleighFoutch/status/917249439412056064 https://twitter.com/djkevlar/status/917246984221626368 Thor: Ragnarok is released in cinemas on October 27th.
