It was to highlight a very important issue.

We use far too much plastic as a society – anyone who watch Blue Planet last year knows that. Monday night’s The One Show drew attention to this issue, with a special focusing on how we can cut down on single-use plastics, featuring guests as varied as Chris Packham and Michael Gove.
