A petition for Amber Heard to be removed from Aquaman 2 has hit 2 million signatures, months after the film concluded filming.
Johnny Depp, 58, versus Amber Heard, 36, has seen an enormous amount of attention, largely due to live streaming capabilities. But while attention is on the courtroom, a Change.org petition originally started in 2019 has been racking up signatures faster than Heard's lawyer can stumble over his own questions.

The petition reads: “Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognised, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry.
“Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2.”

Director James Wan announced that the film had wrapped filming back in January, so the likelihood of Heard being removed seems slim. “Finally, finally, finally picture wrap on the actual last day of Aquaman 2," he wrote on social media.

Heard is set to reprise her role as Mera alongside Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.
After Mamoa, 42, shared footage at a DC fan event in October 2021, there were similar calls for Heard to be axed.

Heard was not featured much, which was probably a conscious decision on DC's part given the fandom's demands of having her removed. However, fans did not miss clips of her punching what appears to be a submarine.
"Aquaman 2 be so fine then boom, Amber Heard," tweeted one fan.
