Dubbing it as "deeply problematic", some people have lost their Christmas cheer and are trying to get rid of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.
The basic plot follows Rudolph as he is cast away from his brethren for his iconic red nose. Ultimately he returns home, saves the day through the very thing that separated him, and they all live happily ever after.
However, a minority of people are not happy with the way the reindeer was treated. The character was called everything from "fire snout" to "rainbow puss" while Rudolph sobs and cries.
Back in 2018, Huffpost tweeted the video alongside the caption: "The holiday TV classic "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" is seriously problematic."
In particular, the video shows the father of Rudolph's love interest, a bigot, for forbidding his daughter from seeing him.
The video then includes statements about the film, with one critic writing: "Yearly reminder that #Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a parable on racism & homophobia w/ Santa as a bigoted exploitative."
That was one of the milder comments - and despite Huffpo claiming it was satirical - people took the content as an attempt to cancel a Christmas classic.

"I'm sorry but this is the VERY definition of "overthinking it," tweeted one person.
Another said: "This was probably written by a person that needs their mommy to come with them to a job interview to make sure the mean, old interviewer isn't unfair to baby waby."
Even public figures got involved, with Donald Trump Jr saying: "Liberalism is a disease."
Naturally, right-wing media discussed the video at length. Controversial Fox host Tucker Carlson and political commentator Dave Rubin spent three minutes analysing the video.
"They find something, they kind of destroy that, and they'll move on to everything else that we love," Rubin said.
