Fans of Netflix's Stranger Things fell in love with season 4's Eddie Munson, his hair, and his sick skills on a guitar. There's another group who are also fans after Munson played 'Master of Puppets' to save his friends.
Metallica, comprised of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo, said they were all "blow away" by the now-viral scene that saw Eddie sacrifice himself.
In the tense scene, a war party enter the Upside Down to finally put an end to Vecna's plan, or so they hope. Things soon get out of hand, and just about every major character seems to be on the precipice of death. Until Eddie, played by Joseph Quinn, sets up his electric guitar to perform a rendition of Metallica's hit song.
"The way the Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include 'Master of Puppets' in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it," the band wrote on social media. "We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away."
They continued: "It's so extremely well done, so much so, that some folks were able to guess the song just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn's hands in the trailer!!

"How crazy cool is that? It's an incredible honor to be such a big part of Eddie's journey and to once again be keeping company with all of the other amazing artists featured in the show."
The song re-entered the charts following the season's release, much like Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill, which has dominated mainstream contemporary artists like Lizzo and Harry Styles.
Stranger Things Season 4, volume 2, is now streaming on Netflix.
