ITV's Love Island has been slapped with 75 Ofcom complaints after viewers took issue with an argument and dubbed the boys' behaviour as "bullying."
Fans of the popular dating contest were livid after an episode on June 23 saw Gemma Owen's ex-beau Jacques O'Neill brand Ekin-Su a "f***ing headache." According to the professional rugby player, Jay coupled up with Ekin-Su and "found out what you are in two days mate, a f*****g headache."
The situation intensified as none of the girls defended Ekin-Su, leaving her to be berated by the lads.
As reported in the Mirror, Ofcom has since received 75 complaints about the moment.
On Twitter, one disgruntled viewer wrote: "Ekin Su is getting bullied in that villa and nothing is being done."
“Jaques is so nasty to ekin su. They fully bully her why haven't the producers stepped in yet??" another questioned.
A third commented, "Anyone else feels like ekin su is blatantly being bullied? Like ya she went about things the wrong way with Jay but she risked a lot? And everyone was happy because she brought entertainment?"
Others said it's part of a larger theme of bullying the Turkish actress.
"I’m kind of tired of the villa making one sided comments towards Ekin su. It’s starting to come off as bullying. I can understand Davide making comments but everyone else keep your mouth shut!!" a fan explained, noting the pass tension between Ekin-Su and Davide who coupled up first.
