Given the fact that national treasure Louis Theroux has no more documentaries in the immediate future, we won't blame you for feeling a little bit down. Granted, the return of Blue Planet II has softened the blow, but Theroux's Dark States series was absolutely excellent. He then followed this up with a harrowing take on the issue of anorexia and other eating disorders and to please his fans even more, the BBC also aired My Scientology Movie. Throughout his features, Theroux's empathy, compassion, and curiosity shined through as it usually does in his documentaries. As fans of the filmmaker will know, there have been plenty of moments where he has been unintentionally hilarious and as we saw recently, he's more than willing to laugh at himself for the sake of a joke. As you may know, Theroux starts every one of his documentaries with a brief summary of where he is and his reason for being there.
