Hulk Hogan apologises after mistakenly tweeting that Jackass’ Bam Margera had died

Bam Margera is alive and very much not dead. Let's make that clear from the start.

For a brief while on Monday night, however, some people might have mistakenly believed otherwise after seeing a tweet sent by wrestling star Hulk Hogan. 'Damn Bam I wish you were still with us,' the 64-year-old tweeted along with an image of the pair together. 'I sure would love to hang out again brother,' he added. https://twitter.com/DarrMurphy/status/1001302688301232129 After realising his error, Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, later deleted the tweet. After doing so, he sent a further tweet apologising and admitting that he had confused Margera with his former Jackass co-star, Ryan Dunn. Dunn died along with another passenger in a car crash in Pennsylvania in 2011. He was just 34 at the time. Margera's mother, April, was one of the first to confirm news of Dunn's death in an interview with a local radio station. Margera and Dunn both came to prominence on Jackass, which was originally shown on MTV between 2000 and 2002. The show featured the pair and eight other stuntmen - including Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O - performing a range of often dangerous stunts and pranks. It was enormously popular, sparking a series of spin-offs and three feature films.
