60% of the time, it works every time.

Happy birthday to a wonderful man and Ron Burgundy's most trusted reporter, the incredibly cool Paul Rudd. Rudd Pants Just look at that him go. Since first grabbing the world's attention with in Clueless, the incredibly versatile actor has starred in some fantastic comedies but after 25 years in show business, he's one of those people that remains effortlessly cool and humble. Here's why we absolutely love him. 1) This iconic introduction to Brian Fantana Any person that decides to give a nickname to their testicles is clearly a genius. Hand on heart, this is one of the best introductions to any character that you'll see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDyM1I9bxM4 Clip via - webeiss 2) He's a football fan Who didn't want to be on that stags in Killybegs, Ireland? In case you're wondering, Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) was also there. PaulRudd https://twitter.com/JOEdotie/status/442729021722226689 3) He even knows Seamus Coleman's dad Speaking with David Letterman about the stag party in Ireland, he said: "I had an Irish football jersey with my name on the back and the number 2, but I thought 'I'm not going to wear this, I'm self-conscious and I don't know anything about the players if people ask me about it'," he said. About five pints of Guinness in, I said I'm going to grab that jersey and put it on and show these people that I'm one of them." "I went to this restaurant next door when after a few minutes I get pushed on the shoulder by a really angry looking gentleman," he said. "He says to me, 'there's only one person in this town who wears number 2 in this town, and it's my son'. His son is Seamus Coleman, who's from Killybegs and is the greatest footballer to come from there. I said I was sorry for being disrespectful, but then he just started laughing." 4) This was his year book photo Rudd Hair 5) His alter ego name is superb Rudd was so disappointed with the final cut of his first film, A Question of Ethics, that he insisted on his real name not featuring in the credits. He opted for the name Kenny Chin instead. He has been using this name to check into hotels ever since. Well played Mr Chin, well played. 6) He's the man who gave the world Sex Panther 60% of the time it works every time. sex_panther 7) He was so cool when he met the JOE readers When Anchorman 2 premiered, we had the pleasure of bringing some of the JOE readers out for a few drinks with the Channel 4 news team. Genuinely, Rudd was so incredibly friendly, decent and sound with his time as he chatted with everyone. Anchorman Trail 8) This moment in The 40 Year Old Virgin This scene with Seth Rogen is entirely improvised, the sign of a highly-skilled comedic actor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9uBvoYLvYE Clip via - Bosquez88 9) Everyone loved him in Clueless He seemed normal in a world that was filled with shopping, mansions and a young Turk from Scrubs. Rudd Clueless 10) These Brian Fantana-isms "Hey, you're making me look stupid. Get out here, Panda Jerk!". Brian Fantana: I think I was in love once. Ron Burgundy: Really? What was her name? Brian Fantana: I don't remember. Ron Burgundy: That's not a good start, but keep going... Brian Fantana: She was Brazilian, or Chinese, or something weird. I met her in the bathroom of a K-Mart and we made out for hours. Then we parted ways, never to see each other again. 11) His weird Mac and Me obsession Whenever Rudd appears on Conan to promote a new film, rather than play a clip from the movie that he's there to promote, he always plays this clip from the so-bad-that-it's-amazing, Mac and Me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hykhlKWD9dY Clip via - Team Coco 12) He's loyal Rudd stared in 2001 cult-classic Wet Hot American Summer and despite the fact that he's a humongous star now, he returned to the show that's on Netflix. The actor also frequently works with the same directors, Amy Heckerling and Judd Apatow, so he's a loyal guy. 13) This deadpan line in Friends After Joey announces his plan to make Monica and Chandler stay in their apartment - he plans on telling them that their new house is haunted- Rudd's character Mike has this perfect line. Joey Mike 14) Slappin' da bass Yeah, totally, totes-magotes. Jobin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2alBPk2gkPo Clip via - David Phan 15) No one does dry, sarcastic and deadpan like him RuddCocaine 16) John Lennon is Paul Rudd The deliberately dreadful accents in Walk Hard are bloody hilarious while that line, "I wonder if your songs will still be shit when I'm 64" still cracks us up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g_xaVNY9P4 Clip via - knights08252508 17) He featured in one of the funniest shows in years Parks and Recreation fans will remember him as the naive, stupid but sweet Bobby Newport. Bobby Newport 18) He invited baseball fans back for a party in his mams house After the Kansas City Royals won the ALCS championship, he did this on national TV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bikMtylIxp8 Clip via - KMBC 9 News Kansas City 19) He's a genuine superhero. Ant-Man stole the best action scene in Captain America: Civil War. 20) Again, he's the man who gave us Sex Panther.
