Damian Oliver says porn is 'not as good as people think'
An ex-footballer turned porn star has opened up about the first scene that saw him pocket just £150 for six hours work.
Damian Oliver, who used to play for Crystal Palace, spoke about his career change on the Anything Goes with James English podcast and admitted that porn is "not as good as people think".
"That was terrifying, being on my first set, the camera guy there was a big bald Irishman, he was quite scary - I've got to get my d**k out in front of him and start f***ing," he explained.
Oliver initially experienced performance anxiety, but his "nice" co-star helped him get into fighting shape.
"It was like laminate flooring, and I was butt-naked and sweating, and I was slipping in my own sweat." he recalled.
"We had to keep cutting, I had her bent over the sofa but I kept slipping all across the floor, they had to keep wiping the floor down, I was just a dripping mess."
Oliver made the career change in a bid to earn extra cash alongside his painter and decorator job. But after meeting partner Sophie Anderson, one of the two famed "C**k Destroyers", Oliver jumped in full time.
"People used to say to me, 'you're doing it all anyway', because they knew I used to sleep with girls, I was a player, and they said, 'you might as well get paid for it'," he said. "But it wasn't until I had the confidence to actually do it, [that I realised] it was a whole different ball game."
Oliver claims that he would've been earning "a lot more money" if he'd continued with Crystal Palace and had also pondered a career in fighting.
Now Oliver is looking forwards with Anderson to a career in mainstream acting.
