Bryce Dallas Howard says she was paid ‘so much less’ than Chris Pratt for Jurassic World

'And I love him so much for doing that'

Bryce Dallas Howard has said she was paid "so much less" than Chris Pratt for the Jurassic World trilogy despite reports saying otherwise. Bryce Dallas Howard, 41, appeared as park manager Claire Dearing for the first time in 2015's Jurassic World. She, of course, starred alongside Chris Pratt, and the two would continue to lead the franchise together for another two films, the latest of which came out earlier this year. Following the release of the franchise's second film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, reports suggested that Dallas Howard had been paid $8 million, while her 43-year-0ld co-star had received $10 million. But it turns out the reports were wrong, and the multi-award-winning actress was actually paid "so much less than the reports even said, so much less." Speaking to Insider, Dallas Howard explained that she was paid less due to contractual obligations. "When I started negotiating for Jurassic, it was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a great disadvantage. And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your deals are set," she said. She continued: "What I will say is that Chris and I have discussed it, and whenever there was an opportunity to move the needle on stuff that hadn't been already negotiated, like a game or a ride, he literally told me: 'You guys don't even have to do anything. I'm gonna do all the negotiating. We're gonna be paid the same, and you don't have to think about this, Bryce.' "And I love him so much for doing that. "I really do, because I've been paid more for those kinds of things than I ever was for the movie." Related links:
