One of Netflix's most popular shows is set to be removed from the platform as recent stock market value suggests it's the first of many to be axed.
Breaking Bad is arguably one of the most popular shows of the last 20 years and is currently placed at number four on IMDB's best-rated shows. But according to an investigation by The Wrap and What's on Netflix, the standout show won't be with us forever.
But don't fear; you have more than enough time to binge it before it's removed. It will be removed from the platform in February 2025 unless the streaming platform finds itself in a much better position. In the US alone, the catalogue has reduced from 11,000 to 6,000 in the last few years, which perhaps illustrates just how tough times are.
In other entertainment news, fans are convinced they have worked out who the next Black Panther is going to be following Chadwick Boseman's tragic death in 2020. After a trailer for the second instalment was released at San Diego Comic-con, fans took to social media to share their thoughts.
The teaser trailer showcases someone in the Black Panther suit, though audiences were not clued into who it was. Instead, audiences were treated to a carefully laid-out shot that gave nothing away. This has not stopped speculation.
Many fans believe Michael B Jordan's Killmonger has taken up the mantle, which may be confusing to some because he died in the first film. But then again, this is Marvel, and Loki has died numerous times throughout the Thor films. Killmonger being a variant from another universe is perhaps a more plausible explanation.
Another prevailing theory, and one that plays out in the comics, suggests Shuri will take up her brother's responsibilities.
As one fan explained: "It's shuri lmao let go of whatever hope y'all have. Her family is in shambles. Her taking the mantle is the perfect thing to be a pillar of support for her mom and her country. It's the only thing that makes sense. As much as I want them to recast, let it go."
