Headlining his own show at Electric Brixton in London over the weekend, Big Shaq (real name Michael Dapaah) recruited a few friends to help him celebrate one hell of a year.
While of course his ride or die brother Asnee was in the building, there were also many in attendance from his ever growing list of high profile celebrity friends and admirers. With over 15 performers on the bill, the likes of Stormzy, Krept & Konan, JME, Mo Stack, Chip, Fekky, and many more showed up in support of 2017's most viral personality.
Aside from the individual performances there was also a group performance of "Man's Not Hot". Joining Big Shaq on stage to belt out one of the year's biggest UK records (even if it is a parody), Stormzy, Lethal B, Krept & Konan and few others were happy not to take off their jackets because man's not hot!
Coming off of an incredible year, it's not quite over for Big Shaq. Currently in the running for this year's Christmas number one, the man who literally never takes off his jacket has put out a Christmas version of his worldwide smash.
He will fight it out with Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé , whose record "Perfect" is the bookies favourite to take the top spot on December 25th, Choirs With Purpose ("We All Stand Together"), Wham! and George Michael ("Last Christmas") and of course, as always, the X Factor winner.
Peaking at number one on Spotify’s Viral Charts around the world, including UK, US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Sweden and 25 other territories, "Man's Not Hot" has also been Shazamed over 700,000 times.
Big Shaq has even garnered support from the likes of Drake, Usain Bolt, DJ Khaled, Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Danny Welbeck, Dua Lipa, Jeremy Corbyn, Nicole Scherzinger and his lyrics were even mentioned in the House of Commons last week!
