A Britain’s Got Talent contestant is performing at the Royal Wedding

The music at a wedding is important.

And like basically everything else at the wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, people have been clamouring to find out what music will be played at the ceremony. We expect they’ll be keeping classy and traditional – it’s unlikely Harry is going to come out to The Rock’s entrance theme or anything. In a series of tweets, Kensington Palace confirmed some details about the couple’s musical choices. The music will be directed by James Vivian, Director of Music at St George’s Chapel. Amongst the choral groups involved will be Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir, a group made up of “British artists dedicated to creating a sound that demonstrates the community they share, and has been performing both nationally and internationally for over 20 years”. 19-year-old cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason will also perform.
